ReadSpeaker Text to Speech (TTS) technology is now available for Word Online with the ReadSpeaker Text to Speech for Office 365. The first Microsoft add-in of its kind, it assists you by reading aloud the written content in Word documents (Word 2013 Service Pack 1 or later, Word 2016 for Mac, Word 2016 or later, Word Online) by simply selecting the text; then, by clicking the listen button. The ReadSpeaker Text to Speech for Office 365 add-in helps you better understand documents by offering another way of accessing them. Also known as bimodal presentation, text content in a Word document can now be presented in both audio and visual formats at the same time. Listening to text has been shown to improve comprehension and recollection, but at the same time, can also assist those who have difficulty learning and reading, or for those who are learning a new language. The add-in can also help your writing by reading the text aloud to detect spelling mistakes and consistency in sentences.
To use the add-in, you must first make sure you have an Office 365 account for Word 2013 and later. Next, download the add-in here, then activate it by logging into your Office account. Go to the top menu bar and click Insert > My Add-ins. Double click the ReadSpeaker Text to Speech add-in and start using it! Here is a short video to show how to access the add-in (Images too small?
