Junior Information Security Specialist

We are now looking for a Junior Information Security Specialist who wants to develop, learn from experienced colleagues, and over time take on independent responsibility within information security, risk, compliance, and security processes.
This is a role for someone with a foundational understanding of information security, a strong interest in cybersecurity, and a desire to deepen their expertise in a global tech company with high ambitions.
About the role
As a Junior Information Security Specialist, you will become part of our information security team (currently one person) and take a central role in daily security operations and upcoming development projects. Together, you will help strengthen and evolve ReadSpeaker’s global security posture.
This role suits someone who is eager to learn quickly, enjoys working closely with a manager who knows the company and its processes well, and wants to gradually grow into more independent responsibilities.
You will work broadly with everything from risk management and incident follow-ups to internal/external audits, customer inquiries, supplier assessments, and the implementation of policies and security controls.
A thorough onboarding is provided, including introductions to our systems, workflows, and ISO-based processes.
Your responsibilities
You will, among other things:
- Participate in internal and external audits by collecting evidence and understanding the link between policy, process, and compliance
- Support in risk management, including daily risk assessments
- Assist with customer due diligence, respond to customer security inquiries, and help improve the process
- Work with policy & compliance, including updating the ISMS, implementing security policies, and educating users
- Follow up on security incidents, ensuring documentation and corrective actions
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls such as security tools, firewalls, and other protective measures
- Assist in supplier security activities, such as contributing to vendor assessments
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies

To succeed in this role, you need:
- Foundational understanding of information security principles
- Awareness of common cybersecurity threats
- Basic IT and cloud knowledge, preferably within Software as a Service (SaaS)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English
- Relevant education, e.g., in IT, cybersecurity, computer systems, or similar
It is also advantageous if you have:
- Knowledge of ISO 27001
- Familiarity with frameworks such as SOC 2, OWASP, CWE, CIS, CVSS
- Basic networking knowledge
- Understanding of GDPR
- Basic knowledge of vulnerability management

Scope: Full-time, probationary period applies
Salary: Fixed salary, negotiated individually
